Cookie policy
ORZO • orzo.pl
Effective from 17 October 2026
This policy explains how information is stored on and read from your device when you use orzo.pl. It covers cookies and similar technologies, such as browser storage (localStorage and sessionStorage). How we process personal data is described in the Privacy policy.
1. Who runs the website
The website is run by Gastro Group Kwaśniewski i Wspólnicy Spółka Jawna, Pl. Konstytucji 5, 00-657 Warsaw, Poland, NIP (tax ID) 5252585480. Questions about cookies and privacy: kontakt@orzo.pl.
2. What cookies are
Cookies are small files your browser saves on your device. They let us, for example, keep your cart, remember your language or your consent choices. Some tools are used to measure visits or for advertising. Session cookies disappear when you close the browser; persistent cookies stay for a set time or until you delete them. They may come from us or from third-party providers.
3. Categories and consent
Essential: used only to transmit a message or needed for a service you ask for, such as the cart, signing in or remembering your consent choice. Within the limits of Art. 399(3) of the Polish Electronic Communications Law they do not require consent. We do not use them for hidden marketing measurement.
Preferences: remember settings you choose yourself, such as language or the restaurant you picked last, so the booking button takes you straight to it.
Analytics: help us measure visits and how the site is used. We only switch them on after you consent to this category.
Advertising: measure how well ads work and help tailor them. We only switch them on after you consent to this category. This covers Shopify and Google tools, which may link your visit to the ad you came from.
Refusing the optional categories does not stop you from using the site, booking a table or buying a voucher.
4. How to choose and change your settings
On your first visit the consent panel lets you accept all optional categories, reject them or choose individual ones. Optional consents are not pre-ticked. Continuing to browse or closing the panel does not count as consent.
You can change your choice or withdraw consent at any time using the “Cookie settings” link in the footer. Withdrawing is as easy as giving consent and does not affect the lawfulness of anything done before. After you withdraw, we stop storing and reading the technologies covered by that choice. You can also delete stored files in your browser; this does not automatically undo data already passed to recipients.
Your browser lets you block and delete cookies. Blocking essential cookies may stop the cart and voucher purchase from working.
5. Technologies we use
This list covers the technologies used on orzo.pl on the date of publication. How long something stays on your device may differ from how long the provider keeps the data.
Essential (no consent needed)
- _tracking_consent (cookie, Shopify, orzo.pl): remembers your choice in the consent panel, 1 year.
- cart, cart_sig, cart_currency (cookies, Shopify, orzo.pl): keep the cart working when you buy a voucher, up to 2 weeks.
- secure_customer_sig, keep_alive, _shopify_essential (cookies, Shopify, orzo.pl): session security and account sign-in, from 30 minutes to 1 year.
- localization (cookie, Shopify, orzo.pl): the language you chose, up to 2 weeks.
- orzo.kolejka (sessionStorage, ORZO, orzo.pl): keeps the restaurants in the same order on every page during your visit, no personal data, until you close the tab.
Preferences
- orzo.preferredVenue (localStorage, ORZO, orzo.pl): the restaurant you picked, so the booking button takes you straight to it. Saved only after you choose, until you clear it in your browser.
Analytics (with consent)
- _shopify_y, _shopify_s, _orig_referrer, _landing_page (cookies, Shopify, orzo.pl): visit and traffic-source statistics, from 30 minutes to 1 year. Details: Shopify cookie policy.
Advertising (with consent)
- _gcl_au, _gcl_ls (cookie and localStorage, Google, orzo.pl): link your visit to the Google ad you came from, up to 90 days. Details: how Google uses cookies in advertising.
6. Third-party services and transfers
The site links to the MojStolik.pl booking system and to Google Maps. These are ordinary links: those services’ rules apply only once you open them. The OpenStreetMap map on restaurant pages loads only after you click “Show map”.
Information about data recipients, legal bases and transfers outside the EEA is in the Privacy policy. Details from providers: Shopify, Google.
7. How long we remember your choice, and updates
We remember your choice in the consent panel for 1 year. After that, or when our purposes or tools change, we will ask you again. We update this document so it matches the technologies actually used on the site.
